Money is the Means, Not the End

Malachi 3:10, Luke 16:1-15

The language of our faith is crystal clear: we are a family. God is our Father. We are brothers and sisters. Our Father will leave us an inheritance. These are all family concepts, and like any other family, we each have roles and responsibilities. When we abandon them, disfunction follows; however, when we fulfill the roles God has designed for us, we enjoy the love and support of our brothers and sisters. There are certain topics that stress all families, money being chief among them. But it doesn’t have to be. When money is our primary goal, there will never be enough, but when our hearts are undivided and geared toward worshipping the Father, our generous nature shines and money is a weapon that influences eternity.
