THINK ON THIS:

We do not have to wonder what is in our Lord’s heart. He telegraphs His desire through the entirety of Scripture.

All His power, intelligence, and benevolence are aimed at delivering us. The prophet says the Lord crushes the “leader of the land of wickedness,” scattering His warriors and piercing his head: a resounding victory rooted in His very nature, which is why we can wait on the Lord. With Him, the result is never in doubt. We don’t know when the victory is coming, but we know it is on its way, and we can wait with confidence because we know The Victor.

REFLECT:

• How is the result rooted in God’s nature?
• Why can we wait on our Victor with confidence?
• When we get impatient, how can we be reassured?

PIENSA EN ESTO:

No tenemos que preguntarnos qué hay en el corazón de nuestro Señor. Él telegrafía Su deseo a través de la totalidad de las Escrituras.

Todo Su poder, inteligencia y benevolencia están destinados a liberarnos. El profeta dice que el Señor aplasta al “líder de la tierra de maldad”, dispersando a Sus guerreros y atravesando su cabeza: una victoria resonante establecerse en Su propia naturaleza, por lo que podemos esperar en el Señor. Con Él, el resultado nunca está en duda. No sabemos cuándo llegará la victoria, pero sabemos que está en camino y podemos esperar con confianza porque conocemos al Vencedor.

• ¿Cómo se establecerse el resultado en la naturaleza de Dios?
• ¿Por qué podemos esperar a nuestro Víctor con confianza?
• ¿Cuando nos impacientamos, ¿cómo podemos tranquilizarnos?
