I’ve Got Questions | Day Three – Week One

By Pastor John Cook

READ:

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). (John 3:16-21 NIV)

…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20b, NIV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (John 1:1-3 NIV)

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. (Revelation 21:3 NIV)

THINK ON THIS:

From Genesis through Revelation, scripture repeatedly illustrates how God enters mankind’s time, space and history to be near His creation: His children—you and me. Motivated by love, God is from the beginning, in the middle and will forever be with His people. Never has He or will He leave his people. God is a God of love, mercy, lovingkindness and eternal presence for each of us. As you read scripture today and throughout this year, recognize the ongoing theme of God’s presence with his creations.

REFLECT:

  • Knowing that God is constantly present, how might that affect your daily thoughts and actions?
  • Knowing that God is constantly present, is that comforting or concerning? Why?

Tengo Preguntas | Día Tres – Semana Uno

LEER:
