Is the Bible reliable Part 1 (Faith) Yayo

When I became a Christian, I had no knowledge about this giant history book called the Bible. A lot of people would tell me to read the Bible, but I had so many questions. Can I trust this book? How do I know if this book is real? I didn’t know much about the biblical authors, other than their names and their occupations. I’d never considered whether I should trust these authors, nor considered whether any tampering with the text had occurred over the last 2,000 years. In this 3-part devotion I want to help you see how the Bible is reliable.

First, we need to see that the Bible is literally “God-breathed”

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16

In other words, this verse is telling us that it, the Bible, is God’s word to us. For us to see the Bible as reliable we need to have faith and trust. The key to Christianity is having faith, we as Christians believe in something we don’t see. But here is something that we can see in the Bible: God inspired about 40 authors in different times in human history to create a book called the Bible. All these authors had the same message: that The Bible is the record of God’s promise of and deliverance through Jesus Christ. How is this possible? How can over 40 people have the same message without knowing each other? The answer is: God inspired each one of them. We can search on Google for facts or in history books, to answer if the Bible is reliable, but before we jump into that we need to have faith and trust that The Bible is God-breathed and that it’s all inspired by Him.

REFLECT:

• Do you trust and have faith that The Bible is reliable even though you don’t have all the facts yet? If you answer is NO, start with prayer and ask God to guide you during this time so that you have faith in God’s word.
• Do you think others will be more convinced of the reliability of Bible by the evidence of facts or the evidence in your life?

 
 

Tengo Preguntas | Día Cuatro – Semana Dos

 

Cuando me convertí en cristiano, no tenía conocimiento acerca de este gigantesco libro de historia llamado Biblia. Mucha gente me decía que leyera la Biblia, pero yo tenía muchas preguntas. ¿Puedo confiar en este libro? ¿Cómo puedo saber si este libro es real? No sabía mucho sobre los autores bíblicos, aparte de sus nombres y sus ocupaciones. Nunca consideré si debía confiar en estos autores, ni consideré si se había producido alguna manipulación del texto en los últimos 2000 años. En este devocional de 3 partes quiero ayudarte a ver cómo la Biblia es confiable.

Primero, necesitamos ver que la Biblia es literalmente “inspirada por Dios”

Toda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios y útil para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir y para instruir en la justicia, 2 Timoteo 3:16

PIENSA EN ESTO:

En otras palabras, este versículo nos dice que la Biblia es la palabra de Dios para nosotros. Para que veamos la Biblia como confiable necesitamos tener fe y confianza. La clave del cristianismo es tener fe, nosotros como cristianos creemos en algo que no vemos. Pero aquí hay algo que podemos ver en la Biblia: Dios inspiró a unos 40 autores en diferentes momentos de la historia humana para crear un libro llamado Biblia. Todos estos autores tenían el mismo mensaje: que la Biblia es el registro de la promesa y liberación de Dios a través de Jesucristo. ¿Cómo es esto posible? ¿Cómo pueden tener más de 40 personas el mismo mensaje sin conocerse? La respuesta es: Dios inspiró a cada uno de ellos. Podemos buscar en Google hechos o en libros de historia para responder si la Biblia es confiable, pero antes de entrar en eso, debemos tener fe y confiar en que la Biblia es inspirada por Dios y que todo está inspirado por Él.

REFLEJAR:

• ¿Confías y tienes fe en que la Biblia es confiable a pesar de que aún no tienes todos los hechos? Si su respuesta es NO, comience con la oración y pídale a Dios que lo guíe durante este tiempo para que tenga fe en la palabra de Dios.
• ¿Crees que otros estarán más convencidos de la confiabilidad de la Biblia por la evidencia de los hechos o la evidencia en tu vida?
