Sunday Update
Hey, Mount family!
To recap, On August 11 (Kick-off Sunday), on all campuses, high school students will no longer meet on Sundays. Instead, they will join parents in the main service for worship and the message. This means July 28th and August 4th will be the final Sundays under the current format. All high school events, such as worship nights, camps, summer vibes, etc., will remain the same.
The purpose of the change is to allow families to worship together and serve together on Sundays. Families who do this have the highest correlation with students who keep their faith in their young adult lives. We will recreate the small group time during the week through Bible studies and home groups.
We’re praying for a safe and strong start to the school year, where everyone in high school ministry finds a way to connect. With Volunteer Kick-off coming up on July 28 (4-6 pm), we invite you to join us and see all the places we can follow in Jesus’ example and serve together as the body of Christ (John 13:14-17). There is something for everyone at The Mount, and you can find LOTS of opportunities HERE.
As The Mount continues to grow, so does Student Ministry.
Stafford Campus:
We are excited to launch a new middle school service at the 8:30am hour. We will also divide the middle school ministry at 10:00am, with sixth and seventh grade students meeting upstairs in the Chapel and eighth grade students meeting in room #228. The pick-up location for all middle school students after small groups at the 8:30am, 10:00am and 11:30am services will also be in room #228. This change will go into effect on August 11.
Fredericksburg Campus:
At the Fredericksburg Campus, middle school students will meet at the 10:45 hour in the upstairs Student Room.
Have a blessed rest of summer, and we’ll see you on Sunday at The Mount!
